Now, I'd been planning to mercilessly MST Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core since I realized that they were going to change Zack's death scene, and nothing really happened to those plans. They just got delayed, and a little of the fire died--this was originally going to have a lot more macros, and I had that version drafted a few weeks after the Japanese release...buuuut I got distracted, and here we stand: the English release is out, and I'll be following it on YouTube (because SE isn't getting any more of my money unless they can get back on my good side).

Urgh, even my AP classes are made of sexism and FAIL. It's Environmental Science, too. It's designed for hippies. "HIPPIES" AND "PROGRESSIVISM" ARE SUPPOSED TO GO TOGETHER. Yes, boys, I know you think that your stereotypes are cute, but the sad fact of the matter is that they just contribute to these incredibly damaging expectations for each gender (which essentially boil down to "I don't know much about book learning and/or sex, but I certainly do love little kittens" and "HURR HURR HURR, BODILY FUNCTIONS, LAWL" for women and men, respectively). No, "guy" movie does not necessarily equal "derivative and juvenile". Likewise, as I've seen this one going around as well, "girl" movie does not necessarily equal "The Notebook". I acknowledge that there are gender-based trends found in each area--but that's all that they are. Trends. Likelihoods that are probably supplemented by intense societal conditioning. Not hard and fast rules.
I haven't seen 10,000 B.C., but it sounds pretty lame. I don't think that my opinion would suddenly change if I suddenly woke up with a new set of parts.

I must say, I've put a hell of a dent into P3 over the break. EIGHTY HOURS of blissfully perfect gameplay *_* I think I attained gaming nirvana or something. I appear to be very close to the ending, so expect a huge fangirling post after I finish up. (Also, a BIIIIIIIG thank you to Fran for recommending it to me; I'd been in such a slump that I probably would have ignored the reviews without his input. I'll consider the suggestion my Christmas present from him :P)

My classes are almost over for winter vacation. Even though it's only a high school, they're on semester-based scheduling...for some reason (I'd say it was to prepare students for college, but...they don't really encourage students to go to college. It's an "optional" thing, so I can't imagine why they'd try to prepare everyone). Schedule is looking like this:
Today: Finish up finals in third period. Have free time in first, second, and fourth.
Tomorrow: Free time in first, second, and third. Leave after lunch, since I'm exempt from my final in fourth block.
Thursday: Free time in first block. Take my last final in second block. Get released before lunch.
And yes, they did schedule the last set of finals like that just to make sure that people show up =/ The school doesn't receive credit for a day unless more than 50% of the student body is there for more than 50% of the day. Which is really quite silly, since we just end up being forced to attend a bunch of half-days with half-full classes.
But yes. Classes. OVER. That marks the end of my exposure to the dregs of society for the next few weeks...which, of course, frees up blessed free time for whatever I want. No more socially retarded creeps! No more misogynistic rednecks! NO MORE TEACHERS WHO CAN'T PRONOUNCE THE VOCABULARY WORDS! I'd like to finish at least one AMV over the break. I've finished holiday shopping for my friends and family (luckily, since I hate crowds, and they aren't going to get any better as Christmas approaches), so I won't have to worry about that. I should have enough time for a really big project, if the mood strikes me...>D
